How old are the kids in this program?

Dream Big Outdoors summer program is currently open to two age categories children ages 4 to 9 years old and pre teens/teenagers 10-13 years old. We ask that you please make sure you child is comfortable being away from parents and interacting with other children for half the day. All activities are done in group settings.

Where is the program located?

The program is located at a private location. You will be provided with all details upon registration.

How does my child get to this location?

It is your responsibility to arrange drop off and pick up for your child.

How does swimming work?

We will have 45 minutes a day of water time. There will be a designated roped off area that children are required to stay in at all time. Children will also be required to wear a lifejacket provided by parents at all times. If your child is a great swimmer and you feel comfortable with them swimming without a jacket they will need to pass a swim test in order to ensure their skills.  Safety is always our first priority.

Are all instructors certified in fitness?

The children will only have one instructor, Paige. Paige is a fully certified lifeguard for all swimming needs. You can rest assured in your child’s swimming safety. Paige is also a fully certified yoga instructor as well as a certified kids yoga instructor. She is also a Pilates instructor and has been certified in trauma informed movement as well.

What if I can’t find a date that works for me?

Please reach out through email or phone . There is a possibility for more dates to be added into the schedule if the demand is there.

Are you able to run private programs?

Please reach out through email or phone. This is something that can be discussed.

Can I register my child for more than 1 week of the program?

Yes you can. Often the same crafts are repeated throughout the week. With that being said if we know at the start of the season we are happy to try and accommodate this and switch up the craft or have your child help lead the other kids through the craft.

What if I need to cancel my child’s registration?

Unfortunately upon registration you do pay everything in full. With that being said if you need to cancel a child’s registration due to unforeseen circumstances we’d be happy to find another date that works for you.

What are drop off and pick up times for the program?
We ask that you drop your child off between 9:20 and 9:30am. Pick up is between 3:30 and 3:40pm.

Is there sunscreen?

There will be a child safe, reef safe, plant based and gluten free sunscreen for use. We ask that you provide your child with their own but if forgotten we do have some!

Should my child wear their bathing suit?

There is two bathrooms they can use to change into/out of bathing suits. With that being said it can take a good chunk of time for each child to change so if your child would like to wear their bathing suit for the day we have no problem with that!

We do not allow parents to watch. If your child requires you to stay we ask that you be a participant of the program as well.  If you know your child behaves better and will be more involved without you present we ask that you kindly respect this and just drop your child off. If your child is shy or feeling a little nervous we are happy to have to you hangout for the first day or a couple hours each day again participation will be required from you during these times. Please note there will only be outdoor facilities for hanging out. Use of indoor washroom is fine as needed.
